Paychex, Inc. has been named to Training magazine’s Training Top 125 list of outstanding international training organizations for the seventh straight year. Paychex, a leading provider of payroll and human resource services, ranked number 30 on the 2008 list, up from number 34 last year.
The February issue of Training magazine noted that Paychex trained sales, operations, and corporate employees in 10 new product enhancements and instructed all audiences on six new offerings, and that the company’s dedicated new products training team is involved with each new product initiative beginning with the point of investigation.

The University of Paychex, the company’s in-house training and development center, provided more than 1.25 million hours of training for Paychex employees during fiscal 2007, with an average of 107.5 hours of training per Paychex employee. Additionally, 21 of Paychex’s training programs are certified for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE). The credit hours earned through these programs are eligible for transfer to any of over 3,000 ACE member colleges and universities. The University of Paychex is located at the company’s corporate headquarters in Rochester, New York.

To compile this year’s list, Training magazine examined hundreds of entries during a multi-tiered nomination, application, and interview process. The Training Top 125 is a ranking of organizations that excel at human capital development, as determined each year by Training magazine. Paychex’s extensive employee orientation efforts and customer service training emphasis were highlighted in the University of Paychex Entry. The company’s Leadership Evaluation and Awareness Program (LEAP), established to identify emerging supervisory and management talent, was also featured.
