Paychex, Inc. has been named to Training magazine’s Training Top 125 list of outstanding international training organizations for the eighth straight year. Paychex, a leading provider of payroll and human resource services, ranked number 21 on the 2009 list, up from number 30 last year.
In honoring Paychex, Training magazine made specific mention of the company’s payroll support specialist program for the significant impact it had on retention, as well as a new program for top-performing HRS and Premier sales reps that encourages them to share best practices, further grow their product knowledge, and engage company leaders.

The University of Paychex, the company’s in-house training and development center, provided more than 1.1 million hours of training for Paychex employees during fiscal 2008, with an average of 93 hours of training per Paychex employee. Additionally, 21 of Paychex’s training programs are certified for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE). The credit hours earned through these programs are eligible for transfer to any of over 3,000 ACE member colleges and universities. To compile this year’s list, Training magazine examined hundreds of entries during a multi-tiered nomination, application, and interview process. The Training Top 125 is a ranking of organizations that excel at human capital development, as determined each year by Training magazine.
