September marks the month our nation recognizes millions of hard-working Americans with the celebration of National Payroll Week September 7-11, 2009, and encourages them to save for retirement with the observance of 401(k) Day on September 11. The Profit Sharing/401(k) Council of America (PSCA) created 401(k) Day as an annual event to promote retirement savings education.
This year’s 401(k) Day theme is “Make Wise Choices.” All working Americans can benefit from wise choices in their career in order to gain financial stability. By offering 401(k) plans, more than 50,000 Paychex clients help their employees make healthy decisions every day. Company savings plans give employees security during retirement. Paychex recently ranked among the top 401(k) recordkeepers in America according to a nationwide survey conducted by PLANSPONSOR magazine – a national publication dedicated to the pension and retirement industry.
